Reading through the comments on my Instagram and YouTube accounts I have again come across those few who think they know me, know how I think and what I think, those who make comments and then, instead of embarrassing me, as they hope to do, embarrass themselves, not only because of their ignorance about who I am and what I stand for but also about the subject matter itself.
Such a comment came from someone calling herself leestar101 – Poor leestar101 is absolutely convinced that I hate the Royal Family and am cooking up conspiracy theories about them. Well…NO, I am not. I may believe that we humans are not the only living organisms in the universe, but I sincerely doubt that the Queen is a Reptilian…lol. No I am afraid that my worries and concerns are a little more fact based than this.
Then leestar101 takes the same route as so many before her by telling me to ‘mind my own business’ and as a South African concern myself more with Jacob Zuma’s fraud and theft and rather spend my time lobbying to get the money back he stole – well, what leestar101 obviously does not know is that I have been there and done that and have the pictures and clippings to prove it. No Jacob Zuma has a few court cases pending, had spend some time in jail and will likely spend more time in jail in the future, so what is there that I or anyone else can do more than what we have already done. Clearly leestar101 spent some time under a rock and is unaware of the riots and destruction my country suffered when Jacob Zuma was reprimanded to prison a few months ago. Yes my dear leestar101, 200+ people lost their lives within a few days, but the old sod went to prison anyway – so job done and the rest is up to the judiciary.
Then leestar101 reaches for something so may before her had reached for and that is calling me a ‘BOER’ and therefor assuming that I bear a deep resentment towards the British. Wrong! I am 50% boer and proud of it, but I am also 50% Scottish/British and proud of that to. I have grown up curtsying to the Queen and respecting Queen Elizabeth II and her consort Prince Philip. My matric farewell dress was styled after one of Princess Diana’s dresses. I watched William and Harry grow up as my children were slightly younger, but still in the same era/generation, going through the same phases at more or less the same time.
I also have no wish for the monarchy to be abolished as in my opinion the monarchy is an integral part of British culture and European history. I believe that all the traditions, pomp and ceremony are what keeps a nation loyal, proud, and gives a nation an unique identity.
As the above are things I have spoken about numerous times on my channel and other platforms, it is clear that once again someone, whoever leestar101 may be, had jumped onto a comment I made without having watched more than one or two of my videos, without checking out my other social media platforms or my website… but never mind, let’s move on to the other mistakes she made in her lengthy comment:
Then poor leestar101 goes on to say that I should much rather worry about my own country’s carbon emissions as it is one of the highest in the world and my country does not have the money to combat it … oh my dear, take a tip from an old woman ‘do your homework or shut up/do not challenge an old woman’. Leestar101 is of course wrong here to; according to a recent study South Africa is very far down the list when it comes to culprits in the carbon emissions debacle. So just to prove that I did do my homework, here is a list of a few countries and their carbon emissions :
China 28%, USA 15%, India 7%, Russia 5%, Japan 3%, Germany 2%, Iran, 2%, South Korea 2%, Saudi Arabia 2%, Canada 2%, Australia 1%, United Kingdom 1%, South Africa 1% etc… Oh dear! I am the first the admit that I am NOT always right, and the first to admit that I have ‘trust issues’ and many other ‘issues’ but despite being a creative I am also a scholar and it is not advisable to make assumptions and accusations unless they are fact based, because if I feel like it I may spend the time to fact check and will not hesitate to correct mistakes – be it in private or public.
So like poor leestar101, it is obvious that many people put there are misinterpreting the information I am putting out and my fears with regards to certain actions surrounding the three British princes, but I’ll address those fears in my next blog, so watch out for that one in which I shall address things like branding and climate change… You may ask what branding and climate change has to do with one another, well, look out for my next blog and find out….xxx
Lynne
